@PlunderingDesire1 i find that this is an interesting version of fagin. i kinda like him this way. \when i read the book, i felt that fagin has a misplaced sense of judgment on what is good, like taking in kids who were left on the streets, give them shelter and food but in the mean time teach them crime.

A lot of people seem to criticise the portrayal of Fagin in this series, but I personally find it very interesting. He has a certain oily charm and eccentricity, whilst still being manipulative, exploitative and very threatening. Robert Lindsay did a really good job with the interpretation of the character, I think.

@anikinkid Alan Bleasdale said he changed book Oliver a little to make him more realistc to a 19th century workhouse raised child. Oliver's inexplicible literacy might be one of those things.

Mrs Bedouin has more sense in her head then Brownlow, thats for sure. You judge someone on how they act and speak, not on what someone you've never met claims.
