This is a demonstration of the Swedish Army Cook Kit with Trangia Burner. My wife and I used these cook kits on an 8 day trip in the Canadian wilderness where a reliable stove is a must. These stoves can cook in high winds without a porblem. They have no moving parts so nohing can break, You can purchase these from my store at www.campacopia.com.

  • Watch out those fuel bottles will leak sometimes...i personally replaced mine with a half liter trangia safety valved one.

  • I demonstrated the product as sold. I personally don't like carrying fuel inside the pots where I prepare food. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

  • You will achieve a faster boil time and thereby reducing the amount of fuel if you use the lid. By the way, how much does that kit weigh?

  • Yes I was just wanting to show the test without any lid or other assistance since that is the way many similar products are demonstraited. The ones I sell are strong aluminum and seem to weigh about a pound. I will make weigh one by it self and post the weight on my site later. There are some out there that are used surplus ones that are steel and painted OD. Those are much heavier than these. Thanks for your comment.

  • If you you put stove on ground first then light it then put pot stand over it lots easy

  • I agree and I usually do it that way however didnt for the movie. Stage fight I guess LOL.

  • Thanks for the scenic video. You talked me into one. Ill order mine next week, with the simmer ring and pot gripper. I'm usually hiking alone, and this will sure beat starting a campfire to cook on. Gave you 5 starz. Thanks for the vid.

  • Yes I have many stoves but these Trangias are all I use anymore

  • Good demo! Hard to beat the Trangia setup! They are one of the most reliable setups I have ever owned.
