Two artists from Rio de Janeiro are taking art to new heights. The brothers are using a climbing wall as an art house installation. Lets take a look.

In this Rio de Janeiro neighborhood, two Brazilian artists are taking the concept of hanging out to new heights.

The two brothers have installed an open house on a climbing wall next to an art gallery where they eat, read and sleep to the bemusement of passers-by.

[Gabriel Primo, Installation Artist]:
"The wall is a project that is redesigned every four months. My brother thought 'what am I going to put on the wall?' and he came up with the idea of displaying himself on the wall."

Gabriel and Tiago hang out fourteen hours a day at their open house and spend much of their time interacting with passers-by.

[Tiago Primo, Installation Artist]:
"They (passers-by) ask how much is the rent, tell me I'm going to fall, ask me if I have a room for rent... Some take pictures, wave and ask us to wave back, some talk to us.... One of the most curious (reactions) came from a person who thought we were dolls, that we were not real."

So what do residents have to say about this art installation?

[Andrea Carla, Local Resident]:
"Very interesting, very creative. They interact with the public. When people walk by, they look and they enjoy it. But I think it's somewhat dangerous, the height... I would not have the courage to stay at that height, not even for love of art."

The wall is part of a gallerys project that is re-designed every four months in an effort to take art to the streets.
