1954 La France Model 710 P.E.C. Empire triple combination pumper originally purchase by the Corporation of Burnaby on November 23, 1954 at a cost of $27,343.00.

Engine: La France V12, 275 Horse Power at 3,200 r.p.m. 4 distributors, 24 spark plugs, 2 carburetors, and 4 fuel pumps Water Pump: La France 840 G.P.M. two stage parallel series centrifugal type. Transmission: Fuller 5 Forward, 1 reverse (heavy duty, sliding type).

Cleveland MS VFD had a '53 Chevrolet pumper that they kept in good working order. In 1977 or '78, there was a major apartment fire...that old '53 was on the scene pumping as hard and fast as it could...as well as all the new engines. CVFD is known to keep all their equipment, old and new, in excellent condition. Up until that fire, it was used mainly in parades...but could work a scene with the best of them.
