Arpaio's supporters have become physically aggressive lately. The almost daily assault on day laborers and those that support them is manifesting itself in open acts of violence. I believe this is due in part to the disrespect for the FBI and Department of Justice shown by Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas. It certainly can't help having Arpaio and Thomas go after judges and politicians that disagree with them . Since Arpaio's followers regard him as their supreme ruler who can do no wrong it is disheartening to watch the disrespect of his own officers against our courts and privacy of defense attorney documents.

Sadly, the Phoenix PD seem uninterested in stopping the violent and racist behavior toward day laborers and their supporters. It's as though some actually encourage the hostility those that terrorize day laborers breed. This can be seen toward the end of this video where a Phoenix PD blocks an entire lane of traffic to accommodate Jim Markin. Jim sets up over a dozen large signs, table and chairs
at the corner of 37 and Thomas on Saturdays. His purpose for being there is to disrupt and intimidate day laborers and those that would hire them. While it certainly is not against the law to protest your beliefs regardless of the racist nature, do we really want our law enforcement encouraging this behavior? When law enforcement refuses to stop violent acts from Arpaio supporters, where do we turn?

this guy blames obama when its really george bush who dissolved the borders. this whole situation is the republicans' fault. we didnt get 50 million illegal mexicans settled in overnight. obama hasnt been in for a whole term yet even. doesnt the logistics of that sound a little too impossible for these assholes to be blaming obama?

besides if you want to get rid of illegals, just shut down welfare. completely do away with it, and the illegals will be squeezed right back out. easy as that.

@paragshah2112 Undocumented people cannot get welfare. They come here to work. Thats what they get arrested for more then anything also. And we've always had a relaxed border until Bush and 911. Obama has beefed up enforcement and deported more people then any other president including Bush and Clinton. Thats just the facts. Believe whatever you want.

@gotgank Yes. It is very difficult. Every day, someone dies crossing the desert in Az. but many never make it that far. It is an act of desperation mostly. Many come from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Crossing Mexico is deadly. Contrary to what some believe-it's not the act of the weak or lazy. It takes lots of guts, prayer and character to make it here. The legal path is available only for those with money.

Anytime an undocumented person does anything wrong-it gets reported. Even when they have no proof like with Robert Krantz-its big news. So far you haven't even commented on this video. More people speak english in Az then they did 30 years ago. Countries like N Korea and Iran have pretty tough immigration policies. The rest of the world really doesn't. You know the majority of the people crossing into this country illegally are not rapist or murderers, they are people with children and families who are desperate and searching for a better life. Put yourself in their place for a second, I'm a mother and there isn't a law i wouldn't break to feed my child and provide them with a better future. if they could come legally they would but it costs thousands of dollars to apply and most are denied anyway.
