  • Is this from an officlal DVD release or 16mm film transfer?

  • @56thAlbanyProd This is an episode from the "Saturday Morning Cartoons" compilation DVD.

  • Thanks for posting. Is this that episode from the "Saturday Morning Cartoons" DVD? The sound and video quality are excellent for a 1974 show.

  • @RatedJpG Yes, it is! It's the only one in DVD quality for now as far as I know.

  • @Termiroman Who released the DVD? I hope they release the whole cartoon series. GILLIGAN'S PLANET included.

  • @ToylandChairman666 "Saturday Morning Cartoons" DVDs were released by Warner Home Video in 2009-2010 according to Amazon info. Don't know nothing about the whole series on DVDs ((

  • I was wondering the same thing, Wileyk209zback. You see, there was a colourist at Filmation who was colour-blind and who worked on the animated STAR TREK episode "More Tribbles, More Troubles," which had originally been intended as a live-action episode. Because the Skipper was blonde instead of grey-haired, I assume he worked on THE NEW ADVENTURES OF GILLIGAN as well.

  • "Well, there's not too much happiness in the world anyway."

"That's true, Skipper, I guess we'll just have to be happy without it."

Nice! Heavy sarcasm isn't something you find in kids' cartoons! Then or now!

  • It's moore like a cartoon for adults! Jokes kids wouldn't really get.

  • @argangediv Because I enjoyed watching it when it originally came out as I did the original show in Re-runs.

  • @Astraldragon1

Why? I suppose I could use it as punishment if the kids won't do their homework.

  • Thanks for posting it thumps up to you. But the show really sucks man nothing redeeming.
