I was wondering the same thing, Wileyk209zback. You see, there was a colourist at Filmation who was colour-blind and who worked on the animated STAR TREK episode "More Tribbles, More Troubles," which had originally been intended as a live-action episode. Because the Skipper was blonde instead of grey-haired, I assume he worked on THE NEW ADVENTURES OF GILLIGAN as well.

"Well, there's not too much happiness in the world anyway."
"That's true, Skipper, I guess we'll just have to be happy without it."
Nice! Heavy sarcasm isn't something you find in kids' cartoons! Then or now!

It's moore like a cartoon for adults! Jokes kids wouldn't really get.
-
@argangediv Because I enjoyed watching it when it originally came out as I did the original show in Re-runs.
-
Why? I suppose I could use it as punishment if the kids won't do their homework.

Thanks for posting. Is this that episode from the "Saturday Morning Cartoons" DVD? The sound and video quality are excellent for a 1974 show.

@RatedJpG Yes, it is! It's the only one in DVD quality for now as far as I know.
