What goes on in the Steorn SKDB Part 2
Here is a clip from November 2009 of one of the Rigs I was building in Steorns closed off SKDB.
Testing the magnetic bearings and seeing what they can do.
I cannot go too deep into the configuration due to the usual NDA, but thought it would be nice to show some samples public, with permission from Steorn of course !

I think the bearings work. :-)
Please be careful, I'd hate to see you get injured by flying debris 4000rpm translates to about 60 mph at a radius of 2.5inches.
It looks like a fine rig in spite of the noise.
