Where you flexible already?
I was moderately flexible, but never able to do the splits ever.
Do you have to be flexible to do this?
The whole point is to MAKE you flexible if you consistently do it.
You are doing XYZ stretch wrong!
I'm sorry. I'm just sharing what I did. Always use your best judgement and if in pain, seek the correct method.

Hmm, I dunno... how about you take a look at the numerous people who said it did in the comments. Read the comments.
It took me about a month to finally do the splits. I had been trying to figure out how to do this for years.
It comes down to these stretches (and similar ones), holding them for at least 2 minutes each and consistently doing it on a daily basis (I did it more like 5x a week).
