  • Why can't they make movies like this anymore? These days they'd probably CGI Eric Roberts character into jar jar binks.

  • Geraldine ==what a magnificent actress

  • A WHISKEY IS GOOD FOR THE SYSTEM, COUGH-COUGH-HACK-,,,,!!!

  • @Saoirseff We have a great médiathèque here in our town, the birthplace of Communism, & can get movies from so many parts of the world. I just haven't seen that much good stuff from the USA recently -- but there are exceptions. Unfortunately, the few interesting ones get little or no promotion. They do play in other countries, tho. We still have a real cinemathèque here even in my town, & if you are a member it's cheap & you build up points. We go to Paris today to see NORMA RAE.

  • @CuteCatFaith --this was done when the majority of producers were heterosexual and not homo--there's no more romantic love ,normal male /female relationships--all these "new" style bs have violence bertween a man and the woman etc etcand if there weren't special effects ???? LOL !

  • This was done when America still produced Hollywood movies. Now, very little is done in the USA, and that's not a bad thing maybe, but this movie is proof, we went out with a bang. Pick on this if you like, say it isn't close to the book, but it's got some really great aspects and I am enjoying seeing my old NY again here. Uprated. Greetings from France via the USA.

  • Bunky's mother gave him a big hug. Glad she did 'cause Bunky bought the farm in the elevator shaft. Page was married to actor Rip Torn who is a cousin to Sissy Spacek. Jack Kehoe (Bunky) was great with DeNiro in MIDNIGHT RUN with Charles Grodin.

  • Ms. Page was the greatest actress of her day. She never gave a bad performance. Imiss her. Thanks for this post. Don't ever take it away. I saw every single movie of hers. I still love her today.
