RPG Maker 2003 tutorial- How to add characters part 1

I decided to make this tutorial on how to add character in RPG maker 2003 since ive been asked before. I may make some mistakes so try to bear with me.

When I get to BattleCharSet, There's no sprites!

@sonicdash24 Well, I went inside the BattleCharSet folder like you said in this vid and I was supposed to find the sprite sheets but instead, it said There's nothing in the folder.

@AndrewtheHedgehog001 did you go into the "RTP" folder or the folder with your RPG's name, if it's not RTP then you shouldn't see anything, that folder contains the files for only that rpg,the RTP folder contains all the default stuff for all the RPG's you make. that's the folder your looking for.

i tried to make it in windows 7 and when that didn't work i tried it on a windows xp and that still didn't work i i see is black WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@supernintendonumber1 you may have to convert it into a 8-bit format file for rpg maker, you can use paint(dot)net to open your picture and save it as a 8-bit PNG file.

google "paint(dot)net" , download and install the program, it should be free.

What do I do if I want the idle stance to have more than three sprites? When I put it on the next row, it thinks its another status condition entirely.
