Oops I meant to say "I Want To Be Wanted" rather than Wanna. Also to clarify I also meant that I had not head of Brenda Lee's version of the song at the time. I have since. I loved Brenda's music back in the day and especially her CHristmas music. She had an awesome and unique voice.

I loved all 4 of the new songs that were on this CD but I feel like the underdog because everyones favs are usually "I Need Love" or "Not Gonna Be The ONe" but her remake of "I Wanna Be Wanted" Resonated with me. I loved the ballad and the purity of her voice on that song, the emotions the song elicited too. Actually I did not even know of Brenda Lees when I heard it. I thought it was brand new. I would say "NGBTO" is pretty close for me but all 4 were gorgeous songs.

"Not Gonna Be The One" - one of the best songs she's ever sang. DTAR & IWTBW also fit her pretty well. I think this album should have concentrated more on the most recent songs of her career rather than going all the way back. On the negative side, it;s too bad that she let herself get sucked in to the "environmental / GAIA nonsense. Musically I've always had a soft spot for ONJ.

I Need Love seems to be an answer-song to Physical - a post-HIV/AIDS era response, perhaps... or a song of a more mature person...

richardhanna....as far as Im aware her father passed away and her diagnosis all came in the same weekend (whilst on vacation with her husband) i hardly think she recorded anything within such a time frame....
