  • Cool man! I wish I had a hanging bag! Keep up the kung fu striking its rad. Good power.

Wow you get a lot of thumbs up. I always get thumbs down. You cant make anyone happy on youtube when uploading personal martial arts videos...

  • @MaharlikaAWA i treat martial arts like religion. All of them have pro's and con's. None of them are perfect. (my opinion). people are the same. Ultimately, at the end of the day, all you can do is strive to perfect your own personal style, and be the best that you can be, and use the genetics you were born with to the best of your ability. Dont worry. people hate on me too! saying im too open minded, and I should only follow one way. We are individuals! :D .

  • @randyds5 Yeah at least I know you are not a joke like those fake ninja guys and people like dan blowen who start fights and act like ass hats.

Anyway I like traditional martial arts guys that try to use them in actual combat situations and spar a lot. I am pretty much a HUGE MMA fan but love traditional martial arts too and think its cool to spar MMA style with them.

  • @MaharlikaAWA i love all martial arts. Old and modern. personally, i have a Jeet kune do mindset. Take what is useful, and discard what is useless, and add what is your own. I took that philosophy and applied it to everything in my life. Politics, religions, you name it. In the end, all knowledge comes from our own limited understanding. Everything has pro's and con's. The same goes for TMA vs MMA

  • @randyds5 Interesting. I personally like to mold TMA and MMA together and not make a difference. I really cant stand delusional TMA guys as much as I cant stand delusional closed minded MMA jocks. For me I lift weights, do cardio machines, try to eat healthy, as well as do Taekwondo and MMA style stuff and grab what I can. JKD is cool. Well may God have mercy on you and show you the way. You are a nice guy man!

  • @MaharlikaAWA Thanks. I agree with everything you just said. and iam truly sorry that I pre-judged you earlier. Even though our beleifs are different I "jumped the gun". I shouldnt have been so "malice" in my opinion. You cant judge all christians the same , and you cant judge all of us agnostics the same. We are all unique. Thanks for discussing with me. Your a good man. Work hard!!! lets continue to fight for our dreams

  • @Ancientimmortal Tell that to a guy with severe arthiritis. Wear and tear baby. Its all about preservation. When you train as much as I do, wear and tear means alot. I do shaolin sand conditioning on my hands with jow. Just preference.

  • @MarioRomualdo21 Thanks for the input. Your master is probably a great martial artist. But, I disagree with him (respectively of course). No disrespect, but go into a boxing ring and keep your head "straight up" , like you mention. I keep my chin down, head down, to protect my jaw and chin. Also, if I do get hit, he will hit my forehead and break his hand. Its not a good idea to keep your head straight up in a real fight. For forms practice, it is ok though. Thanks again for watching brother.

  • @randyds5 Exactly! I started as a JKD stylist but after learning more about Bruce I became multi faceted. I do traditional martial arts and find different ways to apply them functionally. They all have their expertise and preference, but I tend to take a more Shaolin approach by dividing things into their base elements and then combining them based on the individuals attributes, temperment, goals and ability. When you look at history the Chinese were not afraid to experiment so why are we? Ciao

  • If you don't mind some thoughts............Xingyi strikes land with the whole body behind them, but you are trying to go so fast that your front leg isn't staying on the ground, you are bouncing yourself off the bag, and knocking yourself back. When your foot lands at the same time as the strike, your body will naturally sink down, to keep that rebound action from happening. And the power of Xingyi elements is in the BACK hand, that is what drives the front hand and creates the whip motion. :)

  • Nice moves man! btw wtf have you got playing in the background?

  • Very cool! I do Hung Gar and have not seen much Xing yi! Keep up the hard work!

  • great that you have respect for the traditional martial arts. props!

  • the speed is incredible! not to mention u have long arms and legs for reach, i finally found something that i liked watching, and i never heard of the style Xing Yi Quan before! i like this.

  • @randyds5 ya man lets kick some butt! Also you are a REAL agnostic and not a fake one. You know atheists disguised as agnostic or the "agnostic atheists" popular on youtube. lol. see ya man. KUNG FU!!!
