Her name is "malediction." It has its own meaning, but also... Malediction - male diction. Male is dictating latin words and receiving definitions. Might be something to that. At least I think so.

@burgundyred77 it's a commentary on female objectivity, what it deems to accomplish for patriarchal society, how it damages the person, and society's reluctance to treat women as individuals. The lyrics continually say I can be a beautiful, strong, or delicate flower for you. When I do that I'll feel insignificant like "another drop in the ocean," or I'll want to harm myself "another reason to cut off an ear." Malediction (what she says her name is) is a curse or utterance meant to bring harm.

@mouthbreather1 I was thinking the same thing :D

Is this song a highly abstract commentary on a flawed social revolution? Or it it just me?
-
I am constantly impressed with my own ability to spell Einsturzende Neubauten

@mcntsc thanks!

i believe that's Anita Lane, who's actually singing the whole song. the asian woman is Etsuko Sakamaki-Haas, who sings the japanese version on the malediction cd.
-
Who is the woman that, at the end, replace the asian actress?

@stoache That is pretty funny, I see what you mean.
...is it just me, or does this seem like everything David Lynch has ever directed?

I love 1:47. He keeps dancing around the woman as if he was fascinated by her presence, but never touches her, and when he gets closer he looks totally rapturous, but then runs away. Unfortunately looks like me, when I get obsessed with someone. Sorry for the bad english.
