Fender c'est la polyvalence, et encore plus qu'avant grâce au switch S1 disponible sur les American Deluxe.

  • unreal player...

    answer this in english please...

what exactly does the S-1 switch do...?

  • It changes the electronic connections between the pickups to get new original sounds... that's all I really understood.

  • If you speak English, I think that you are very good.

  • Of course I speak english udde, but as my vid is in french, I present it in french.

  • @Stratoboy68 does it require a battery?

  • Trés bien joué! Some great sounds there, too...

  • OK, so if you buy that switch, can you solder it so that your regular Mex strat works like these expensive US strats with S-1?

  • Fender should sell that S1 switch to the general public. Currently you can only buy an S1 switch as replacement part for authorized Fender repair center.

Yes there is a grey market on eBay starting at $65 for the S1 switch only. But these 'new' S1 switches all came from those Fender repair centers. I already own 2 Fender Strats. A jap. fat strat and a u.s. american standard. I think I am entitled to purchase one from a retail store with no hassles.

  • this is the best answer....

    thanks..

  • Basically, makes a single coil sound like a humbucker :)

  • American Deluxe Stratocaster QMT HSS. QMT stands for Quilted Maple Top. HSS denoted the pickup configuration and stands for Humbucker, Single Coil, Single Coil.

  • thanks...

  • It's basicly switch that gives more options regarding series/parallel circuit and of course changing series or parallel circuit with pickups changes the sound of the guitar
