Dan Pope's weather for Monday at Noon on KSL-TV April 5th 2010. A significant storm will move through the area this evening. Heavy snow will follow a front and bring several inches to the valleys by morning. Lake effect snowfall will bring additional snow accumulations to Davis and Salt Lake Counties, where snowfall totals could easily reach between 6 and 12 inches. Road conditions will deteriorate tonight and tomorrow morning, so if you are traveling in the mountains near blizzard conditions are possible this evening and snow packed roads will make for difficult travel conditions. In the valleys, mostly slushy roads on the overpasses and some snow packed and slushy roads will remain a more significant problem along the Benches. through midday on Tuesday. Look for slow improvement on Wednesday and then a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 50's to low 60's by the end of the week.
