One of my juvenile female Pine Island Rhacodactylus Chahoua (mossy prehensile tailed gecko) having at some blaptica dubia (orange spotted roach) nymphs. I do not often feed live insects, but I do from time to time as an occasional treat for those that are particularly enthusiastic about eating live. They are undusted so that they are easier to see in the video, but typically I dust my roaches for feeding with Allen Repashy's Calcium Plus.

Dubia roaches are an excellent feeder insect, far superior in terms of care than crickets. I highly recommend them as feeders for Rhacodactylus species geckos!

  • where did you get your roaches?

  • From a friend. I purchase more pretty consistently at the local reptile sale from other breeders as well. I haven't had to order any online as of yet.
