First steps after one week learning some minutes each day with my new piano. Constructive criticism are welcome :-)

  • by the way that looks like a nice piano, is it a yamaha? if it is one with weighted keys thats all the better, practice at home even with the privacy of headphones then one day you can seamlessly make a transition to an acoustic and blow everyone away!

to non-piano experts you can play some basic shit and everyone will think you been playing since birth. fur elise may sound complex but its seriously a SUPER EASY song at least the first half is. that and moonlight sonata, learn those my friend!

  • Yes, it is a Yamaha P-85, a really nice stage piano with weighted keys. Now I can play the whole song, see my video from today. But I needed too much time for learning it and trying to use the left hand simultaneously is still impossible. Maybe would be a good idea to spend some money for a piano teacher now.

  • I personally don't think paying for a teacher is worth it unless you have plenty of money to spend, with the amount of info on the internet its easy for a beginner to get started as long as you are self motivated. I never had a teacher but I only been playing 6 months and playing with 2 hands is starting to feel natural. at first I tried to think of it as each hand with its own brain going its seperate ways but that is wrong! they are working together, youll see what I mean with more time

  • haha im sooo sorry I said that I am such an ass, I was drunk that night. anyways, keep goin with the piano stuff man dont listen to people like me. but from my limited experience in piano that song was fine, but that song is all single notes. try doin songs that require both hands and triad notes, once you can do those without your brain farting piano gets a whole lot more fun in my honest opinion

  • Thanks for your comment. If you can do it better, can you explain what I should improve?
