I finally thought it was time to bring my Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II in front of the camera to do a review. I have used, carried and tested this firearm extensively and think I have enough information and perspective to do a in depth and through review. Starting in September of 2009 I purchased this Kimber and ever since then I have been hooked. My shooting style immediately took to the 1911's grip angle and battery of arms. I found that only after a couple shooting sessions I had adapted to the Kimber well and could shoot it as well if not better than any other firearm. Kimber makes a quality product that is well worth the money. I would highly suggest the Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II for personal defense, CCW and the shooting sports! Enjoy.

  • I couldn't tell by the video. The safety isn't ambidextrous, is the frame set up so that you could put ambidextrous controls on it like the CDP II? I really want this one, but no ambidextrous controls is pretty close to a deal breaker for me. (I'm ambidextrous but my woman is a lefty)

  • @hevyAccel The safety is only on the left side and it cannot be moved over or have another added.

  • How long was the break in period on this gun?

  • @pbplayer2007 It did not need a break in period. It has run flawlessly from round 1.

  • I watch a lot of videos about The Kimber 1911 misfeeds Etc; I even thought about the Sig P220 .45 any comments PLEADE email me.

  • @philly4458 Kimber does have their occasional hiccup but have not had any issues with mine. Kimber makes wonderful 1911s and if you are in the market I would strongly recommend them. Thanks for watching.

  • you may point out , you should never use factory kimber mag in aluminum frame gun, it gouges up feed ramp in frame . seen on kimber .CDPs alot only use wilson combat ,tripp mags or kim pro mags ( why dont they at least give you 1 good mag with gun ) . as soon as i buy kimber i put wilson mag in it and eject the kimber mag in trash , i have done it on 13 new kimbers.

  • @MrAKFrost Thannks for watching.

  • Great review. Merry Christmas and happy new year

  • Huge flaw in your video for disassembly and reassembly. You should NEVER have the gun upside down or press the grip safety while taking the slide off or putting it back on. Kimbers have a Schwartz safety and you can shear the pin off if it is engaged, which would render the gun incapable of firing.
