This is a song I've wanted to cover for some time now, but I never got to it.. Think it is because of the odd tuning (ECDGAB and a capo on the 3rd fret) and I play most of my songs, lately at least, in DADGAD (Both awesome tunings btw).
Anyway, Andy McKee is a god on guitar, and it's near impossible to make your guitar sound like his. This try isn't flawless (as all my movies, I'm afraid I don't do well in front of a camera:P) but nevertheless I'm quite happy with it. As all my movies, I might upload another version.
About the audio and video quality: This recording is the first with an external mic on the camera. I think it worked out great, considering I left in in the wrong mode in my hurry to get to the recording. The video quality seems great to me, so I'm quite happy with both:)

The gear: I've played the song on my Taylor 214, recording is done with a Canon Legria HFS10 camera and a Canon DM-100 external microphone on it.

  • Now this is an excellent cover!!! I wish I didn't suck so much at guitar. :(

Yet, I'm starting to experiment on weird tuning as well. Keep up the excellent work.
