09 12 2009 the people spoke in Washington, DC

September 12th, 2009 anywhere from one to two million people from across the United States of America (USA), gathered in Washington, DC. They did not come as Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, conservative, liberal, independent, moderate, black, white, red, brown, yellow or purple. They came as Americans, we the people, red, white, and blue.

The mission, the message to our unresponsive elected representatives: enough! Stop the spending, stop the healthcare; stop ignoring our Constitution, stop ignoring the people!

Forewarned is forearmed, so to the bums in Congress be warned: 2010 is the new 1776.

The Congressional elections of 2010, God willing will result in 435 members of Congress packing to go home. There are not enough ACORN members or voting dead bodies in Chicago to stem this tide. Congress acted, we the people re-acted.

To PropagandaBuster- just to clarify, most all reports from a number of media outlets have verified that the crowd was majority white, conservative, and xenophobic.

Without discussing the validity or relevance of any of the aforementioned group's political leanings, why would you portray the 9/12 rally as an egalitarian meeting of the minds?

You're right, they didn't come as "yellow, red, purople" or any of the other color coded racial euphemisms you use.

They came as white and angry.

The anti-war protestors in Washington during the Vietnam War were overwhelmingly white. Where they xenophobic also? Or is that term only reserved for conservatives?

What is wrong with being white and angry when that anger is towards a government betraying our Constitution?
