One of the first tests of the Tbot 1.0 balancing robot (inverted pendulum, like a Segway) without the safety harness (that stops the robot from falling over). The robot can drive flat on 4 wheels like a car, and transform into a 1.5m tall 2-wheeled self-balancing robot that can spin on the spot and move its hands.
Developed at Florida's Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, between 2006 to 2007.
