The car had an idle problem before. Someone replaced the valve cover gaskets recently, the spark plugs, and the distributor. When I turn the car on it sits about 1500RPM, then slows down to about 1100. I drove it 250 miles after getting that work done and the car felt like it started to shake a bit and lost power at low RPMs.
The check engine light came on. I added some injector cleaner and drove it 50 miles. Then 2 days later, no check engine light. The car drove fine for about 20 more miles and is now doing it.
Any ideas? Injectors? Timing? Thanks for any help.
Idiot.

NerdeGirl: The vg30e uses a non-adjustable distributor so you can"t alter timing manually. It is automaticly set by the computer electronically. Only way to change it is to wipe out factory perameters by flashing the computer.
Avafreak182: Your main problem is your revin' the fuck out of it when its cold. For real though check to see if all your spark plug boots are on all the way cuz thats the only thing that could have messed up from changin' the cap.

checked your timing? distributor has to be set for timing also...if you replaced the or even removed the distributor if it was not set the way it was pulled out then you need to redo your timing so the motor is top dead center at cylinder 1 and then make sure your distributor is set correctly ie set to fire at cylinder 1
