This is a test to see if YouTube can natively convert Ogg/Theora video files. This sample file has no sound.

The video is supposed to depict wobbly windows on a Linux desktop. As you can plainly see, however, YouTube can not convert the file.

  • who needs avi? theora and vorbis (.ogg) is the future!

  • lol, this video works...

  • Thanks for this -- you just saved me a few minutes of uploading to find out :-)

  • Use this command to convert ogg-theora to avi:

    mencoder file.ogg -o file.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts

    vcodec=msmpeg4v2:vbitrate=800 -oac mp3lame

  • guess not. oh well.

  • I love the artistic quality of the first (and only) frame. Very poetic.
