Mojave Underground Inc. visits a few mines from the San Rafael Swell area. The Blue Ribbon Mines are home to a very unique ore bin. The Copper Globe is still in amazing condition, and over 100 years old, The Lucky Strike and Dirty Devil Mines are Uranium mines, and quite extensive. All of these mines are set to be closed forever, never to be seen again, by the State of Utah's Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining (DOGM). Mojave Underground visited these mines in an effort to document and preserve them.

  • Well tons of things motivate us to explore mines. Nothing helps you understand the life of a miner like venturing into the places the worked. Artifacts, gems, minerals, mazes of tunnels, and the thrill of going places very few others venture are some reasons. Once you go in one mine, you'll be hooked.
