Is it common for controllers to have minor errors in their directions and the pilots to just fill in the blanks for what they assumed the controller meant? For example, at 0:15 the controller tells the jet holding on Kilo to go left on alpha and hold short of echo... but to get to echo, you need to go right, not left. Then at 3:06, he tells the jet on (i think) Bravo to "go right on victor, right on 13L, and hold short of Zulu-Echo. There's no Zulu-Echo on my map. Did he mean Echo?

@gobo760 Uh, well that's farther then I got... When he says "go around the horn", is that just a figure of speech, or what?

lol, I tried following all this with a blown up copy of the JFK taxiway grid on wikipedia and MAN, talk about confusing. So many tiny little taxiways. I wish someone would animate everything that was going on. Was 13L basically just being used as a taxiway during all this mess? It sounded like the main points of congestion was where victor and bravo come together, as well as where bravo and echo come together.

@Concorde847 Bravo short Victor is the threshold I believe (the piano keys) but larger planes like Iberia, and Alitalia, need the run up space provided from entering at Uniform.

Bravo short of Victor seems to have alot of Traffic!!

The Airbus A340-600 is the longest plane in the world, so it is hard for the Iberia to do anything.
