I look at the new 2011 Apple MacBook Air (11.6" Core i5), with side by side comparison of the late 2010 MacBook Air (11.6" Core 2 Duo). I talk about some of the new features, then run some side by side benchmarks and speed tests! Please feel free to leave comments or questions and I will try to respond. Also be sure to like and subscribe. Thanks for watching!

  • When will come the 2012 MacBook air model ????

  • @aer1115 My best guess is late spring, early summer. Check buyersguide (dot) macrumors (dot) com

Thanks for the quick response! Under basic web browsing with about 3 applications open as well my numbers under the iNano widget are the following in order from top to bottom:

    34, 57, 32, 31, 40, 46

are these numbers similar to yours?

  • @MrAnandrenga2001 Under the scenario you describe my numbers were 44, 54, 36, 36, 47, 49. I also did a test of 2 1080p QuickTime videos on loop for 15 mins and this was the result: 53, 73, 42, 37, 53, 63. I wouldn't describe either scenario as super hot, and I felt the level of warmth was appropriate and normal in each circumstance.

  • Great video as usual Blake! As for Novabench's graphics score, I'm pretty sure it's right. Intel graphics are awful and always are!

  • @MyRandomReviews Thank you! Yeah I was surprise but I decided to leave that bit in the video because probably a lot of people assume newer computer, better graphics. Guess that's not the case!

  • I want to get this computer soon, but should I wait until the next model comes out or do you thing it will be a while? Please Respond!

  • @bertocaster lol

  • so benchmarks you like are important, but if the benchmark isnt what you want, that one benchmark is wrong? at least you realized at the end that geekbenck know what they are doing

  • @0xNEVVG3N Yes they are. I don't even money to buy a macbook air for my 16year old son

  • PC products are way underpriced.

  • Thank you, great vid!

Yes they are. I can get a quality PC gaming laptop with a 1.5GB Nvidia GTX560 card, 12GB RAM, latest Intel processor, and the latest features for less than $1000. The MBA has a low end GPU (Intel 3000) and low end hardware so it does not deserve that sum of money, it's too overpriced. I was looking to buy an MBA but I think I'll stick with PCs for now, I hear Macbooks in general (especially the MBA) get overheated just from watching YTflash videos. Bad Engineering from apple.

  • @0xNEVVG3N no they aren't, you cant get any other laptop of the same quality at the same price
