I liked it best after only 1 application of alcohol. It was taught many years ago on craft TV as a faux tortoise-shell effect, dropping it from a dropper in a somewhat more controlled pattern. Love the colors you used. I did wooden recipe boxes with this effect back in the day.

Wow, thanks for this. I'll definitley try it out.

awesome, thanks for sharing, it's interesting!. have a question, if i splash the alcohol on canvas do we get the same effect?
-
Where did you get this 91% alcohol?

Thanks, this vid is the most helpful on "alcohol and paints"

It makes no difference what percentage alcohol you use. If you are not getting the effect, it means your paint is too dry or too thick. Acrylic paint needs to be thinned a bit with water for this to work. You can do it on either canvas or paper.

I found 99% alcohol... Do you think my paper will explode with awesome or will it be a flop?
I suppose I could water it down a bit if it flops... haha,
