and what happens if your midi device is not in that list? what happens then? I've seen a few people ask this question but haven't seen any answers as of yet.

My program can "hear" my keyboard, but when I click Record, nothing is recorded.

FINALLY a video that makes sense

How do you enable other VST to Cubase? I have SOnar P8 and I can't seem to get Guitar Rig working on Cubase 4? but Dimension pro works..

how would i connect an ax synth to cubase?...

if your midi device doesn't register is it better to record the sounds (record the beat) and load them onto cubase?
i have an AKAI XR20 and so far its a waste of 400 bucks cuz its collecting dust. I plugged it into midi but i can only control HAlion. GARBAGE! i dont know how to download and install vst's compatible with cubase. if anyone can help me with either problem let me know. thanks
how do i play samples from my library through the midi keyboard? say if i wanted to record me saying "hey" how would i assign that to the keyboard

@ItsKnucklez You'll need a sampler such as Halion, Kontakt, or Battery. You can also use a free solution such as Short Circuit, though it's not as easy to use as those first three.

I have a section of midi drums completed as I want them, but I want to change the tempo on new material without affecting what I have already recorded, and I cannot seem to do so. Any help?

@Ih8MattSaunders You could try rendering the drum part down to audio, that way it'll stay the same no matter how you change everything else. As with almost everything with Cubase, there are probably 5-10 different ways to achieve the result you're after, this just happens to be an easy one that should work universally.
