@Timothy2035 - that was my thought... where are the Orcas and/or white sharks. JAWS took place off Long Island... and there was a population there in the past... so I wonder what are the chances they'll be in the NY harbor chasing seals.

I absolutely agree with Curator Paul Sieswerda's explanation of what this sighting means for New York Harbor!
I wish more wildlife could "encroach" on human territory to help balance things out a bit.

Well if the seals are there, then this will also probably draw seal predators like Orcas.
