Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano sparred with Senator John MCain on the issue of border security during the Secretary's September 22, 2010, appearance before a Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing on current terrorist threats to the U.S., including the radicalization of individuals within the nation, and efforts to address those threats.

  • This prop is going to solve many problems from border security and crime to Arizona's failed economic state. Then once we have our largest agricultural output and an economic surplus, we can vote some more lousy politicians to mismanage that money and continue to kill our education system so that we can all be happy, dumb, and high....lol

  • The first step into solving the major problem of drug smugglers in Arizona and "Home invasions(fear)," is underway. It is called AZ Prop 203 and its main sponsor is the Arizona Medical Marijuana Policy Project. So when the violence at the border is significantly reduced, you know who to thank....but of course the politicians will take the credit....o well. I want everyone to come back and comment of this quote...."Prop 203 WILL pass," and it is the smartest thing Arizonans will accomplish.

  • And before I get all kind of responses as to the fear tactic, I am aware of the rancher that was killed recently and I am also familiar with the minutemen and their agenda. I do not support illegal immigration, but there is a much more effective and tactful way to accomplish our problem and if McCain couldn't do it in 30 years what makes anyone think he's going to do anything now. He's just following the vote.

  • The real data is that the home invasions are about drug dealers stealing from other drug dealers, not illegals going into the homes of innocent residence. People, it is essential that you learn the concept of Boolean logic and understand how to interpret it so that you can really understand what these politicians are trying to do....and I am not bias to either party on this. Effective politicians are effective as a result of mastering Boolean logic. Don't be fooled, get educated or be lost4evr

  • Damn McCain is really ignorant, or he's really good at playing the part. Mr McCain, first of all illegal immigration has been a problem for over 200 years, 30 of which you have served in office and accomplished absolutely nothing but political reign and fought to maintain the status quo. Not all of us are as ignorant as you would like us to be Mr. McCain. Show us the real data before you try to use the ol' fear tactic and say we at the border are in fear of home invasions.

  • @imanoid

Not a big McCain fan but the situation on the border is unacceptable, the administration wants the number of illegals to increase for the votes

  • @imanoid

    Obama wants open borders

  • @imanoid like the Mormon Pierce on us, need to be wiped from office. His wingman, Skousen, seems to have forgotten about that part of the constitution. The Catholics should be out of the business of "sanctuary" cities. At least they are not making our laws. This state has been run too long by Republicans. Since the 60's, they have been in charge of the legislature. Look at the state of our state. Don't tell me about Napolitano, etc. They can't make law. veto, or sign. No mo

  • @thrityyearsold It is true! That's the way it should be. Get rid of the bad , violent illegals first. I am not a supporter of people breaking our immigration laws. My father emigrated from Ireland. He had to have a sponsor, who would state that he would be responsible for any debts my father might incur. He had to take a "real" test on the constitution and laws of this country. Not the watered down version now in service. Right wing demi gods , who push their religion

  • @USMarineCorpsVeteran First of all, I wish to thank you for your service to our country. I did my military service at Luke AFB, among other bases. Never made Nam. Someone has to stay back and support the "real" fighters. I really am so distressed at the shape of our state, and our country is in now. If you would read a recent Forbes magazine, you would learn that 1% of the rich , who received the largest tax reductions, that they are seething mad @ paying more
