What about the farmers that relay on this supply of 'compost' to grow their crops. Chemical replacments are expensive and often frowned upon as un-natural yet as soon as they start to use naturally produced fertilizer you complain about the smell and the fact it 'kills crops'?
If it killed off their crops why would they use it? They would be out of business quicker than if they bought the chemicals. Fighting the war on the EU via Britains farmers is retarded!

We have a field opposite us that is used for this so called compost, on two nights the smell was so bad we nearly went to a hotel. At times liquid has been spread on the field that smelt like perfume, that killed everything (grass and weeds) in the field.
