@bash186 you have missed the whole point of this brother, it is about Owning your skills, understanding and locating resources, multi purpose items, the next fire, and learning. The prize is only for bragging rights. By completing this challenge and watching others videos we learn together. In truth, I could complete this in a hour or less, that is not to say I am good but to say If I can do it then it cant be that tough!

I’ve been watching for quite some time now, and even for an old country boy I’m learning something new every day. Your postings have played a major part in that education. ironpyrite,flint,quarts,carbon steel also comes from rock ore. You have tought me many things that my dad would have tought me if I was smart enouph too listen when he was still alive. I was just too young and thought I missed the chance to learn.i do not have a vid camera.maybe someday.

@bash186 i used to play soccer when i was a little kid, i had to go to practice about 3 times a week plus give up saturdays to play in the games. when it was all said in done i had a little bobble head trophy made of plastic. i gave up a lot of my time to get that little piece of shit trophy, but ill tell you what it was worth every second.

@dtraughber sorry you dislike me so much as to call me an idiot. I simplt have no desire to go out in 20degree weather and compete in a time trial for a knife. I can start a fire just fine, with the tools mentioned ,and have been doing so for about 5 years..I am simplt saying, If you offer a PRIZE, make it suitable to the challenge.Or just issue a challenge

Is anyone teaching off grid living skills? Not all of us want to be found in 72 hours... does the lessons learned provide long term survival skills or are they more for lost travelers? How off grid is Cody...does he enjoy any modern conveniences? One can't avoid property tax, so Off Grid seems to be just "roughing it" for the principle of it.
