Apology is civilized gest.... but same, and even worse things happened in many other continents and states. I am waiting for huge American apology for things they did. Unfortunately, they are too hipocritic to do that. For now....

@lmt2189 i dont think people who arent Australian can truely appreciate this speech unless you study so deep into what happened and know the peoples stories.

I cant see how this heals , it just promotes guilt on another generation of Australians for something out of their control.I think the pollies are just playing games , but in their ignorance they are playing into the hands of the station master who wants the GRAVY TRAIN of guilt to start this centuries deception , but they better be quick , the CARBON TAX gravy train is just about to depart with all the same old freeloading faces on board. YEH a sorry is warranted from those freeloaders

@lmt2189 Hatefull kinda Fucker are you...Dont come to Scotland
Of the small percentage of you that know what you are talking about dont waste your time time on the f*cking idiots who are posting on this.
I'm an Australian History student and disrespecting this speech is disrespecting the act of peace it represents. The Indigenous (yes that's how its spelt, remember it) elders accepted the apology. You dont have a say in it.
And whoever said that the French would have been better, ever heard of The Cambodian killing fields? was colonised by the French.
