I appreciate everyone's opinion (both positive and negative). Keep them coming!! That only helps me be better. Still, I have to defend myself to say that I do know how to play some pocket. This clip was when I was attempting to play around the time because the track was already playing a consistent line. Buy the dvd and you'll see where I'm coming from. I'm definitely not where I want to be, but you might want to check me out on some future clips. any kind of advice will help.

you may have responded to that comment by ":muzicalgod" humblely but I disagree with him....you did a lot of soloing on the song but did attempt a pocket....but I dont watch youtub for what I can do...i watch for what I cant do...when some people see what they cant do ...they become critiques of it.Keep up the good work.

Now, if you just have overheads and Kick mics, u want to pick the whole kit with the overheads, I would suggest to have them on the sides and pointing straight to the snare by the same distance in relation to the snare, making sort of a triangle. Reason: because the most important parts of ur kit are your kick and snare and if you have the overheads not pointing at the snare in the same direction at the same distance you will run with out of phase problems :) Cheers, hope that helps

no disrespect but your timing is next to horrrible..and u have no pocket at all!!not once did u establish a consistent groove through out the whole song. if i were u i wouldnt be so confident to teach somebdy else when dont even have the basics down yourself.
