He gave Strahm a chance and he blew it, therefore Hoffman has all the right to sit back and enjoy the show, and besides most of his victims genuinely had it coming one way or the another

@PuppyShippingLove well I think Hoffman is really smart, but not as smart as John..

And.. about Amanda... I think she WAS crazy, I mean.. before John found her and all. Anywayz, Hoffman is more evil than John. Amanda had to shoot Lynn and after this, she was shot by Jeff, and all because of Hoffman's letter

but anywayz, that's my opinion :)

Oh & I never mentioned how great of an actor I think Costas Mandylor is. Wow, he plays an awesome bad guy. Glad they put him in this franchise! ♥

In case there are any future comments about this being the real ending..I just wanna say, if you listen closely to the tape, for a few seconds, you can hear Detective Hoffman's voice, not just the distorted one. THAT is the emphasis on the twist. AND, another thing is, if anyone has seen Saw 7..you know that Detective Hoffman escapes the trap, b/c he is in the 7th one. I know a lot of these comments are old, but this is just in case any1 doesn't know yet! (:

@agentbl Yeah, I was pretty pissed at Hoffman after Strahm died like this. I would have rather seen Strahm and Hoffman face off in a "game" set up by somebody else (Jill Tuck maybe?) and have it be a pretty good battle of wits, with Strahm ultimately prevailing. It was awful the way they killed off Strahm, and it was a total reversal of what Jigsaw was all about; he went after morally questionable people so that they could earn redemption. Strahm hadn't done anything wrong. But still died :(
