In July of 2001, at the age of 15, Cameron Ebel was brutally murdered at the hand of one of his peers over an insignificant disagreement. The loss of their son devastated parents Gary and Laura Ebel.
To ensure that their sons untimely death wasnt in vain, the Ebel family founded the Cameron Ebel Teens Against Violence Foundation to spread the word of nonviolence and tolerance throughout communities in the Denver area.
Tragedies in our schools happen every day, explains Ebel. Statistics show that every day in America, 14,000 kids are victims of violence.
As we remember the 10th anniversary of the Columbine school shootings, lets remember also that you and I can make a difference in kids lives today, says CEO of CETAV, Pastor David Jensen.
This video explains how the Cameron Ebel Teens Against Violence Foundation is making a difference in high schools and junior high schools in the Denver, Colorado area.
