  • Actually, with this exercise, you should be less vertical, keep your back arched the whole time, emphasize on squeezing your back,and get a good stretch out of the top. Hold the weight for a pause for the last couple of reps. You should be able to feel your back getting a good pump or you're not doing it correctly. This is the first time I saw someone standing up straight with this exercise. You won't be able to move much weight standing up. You can also have both knees on the ground.

  • the one problem i see with this exercise is that once you have strong lats you need to use fairly heavy weights to get any benefit. It then tends to work your triceps TOO much (from keeping your arms straight), as usually you will not be training triceps and back on the same day.
