In a concert in 1985 in Poland, trumpetplayer Bent Persson is sitting in with the members of Hans Carling's Coolin' Jazzmen. On clarinet Anders Holmberg, Dymtr Markiewicz trombone, Gerd Carling piano, Dick Heikenshjoeld bass, Bobby Sakowicz drums and Rolf Karvfe banjo. I received this video from Dymtr and I am incredibly pleased to see the The excellent Carling Jazzmen and Bent had such a wonderful musical relationship. It is particularily rewarding that young Gerd at the age of 14 was given the chance to play in a combination with the fantastic Bent. Bent's phrasing is so Louis like, nobody else has been able to do it that way

What a wonderful combination - Bent with the Carling Cooling Jazzmen. Hot! Hot! Hot! Great playing all around and I particularly liked Dymtr's trombone. Do you know whether Bent ever played with the Carling Family Band, Bob? That would be something to hear him up against Hans and Gunhild on trumpets. Both hot players and very musical.

Bent actually recorded some of his 50 hot Chorusses with the Carlings in 1986, a year after this session.

This is an absolute delight. A trumpeter of that calibre is an inspiration to all the other band members.
