i was riding bike in the side of the road and my friend was in the middle end story some guy got mad and couldnt catch my friend so almost killed me and the sign said share the road, he scream your not supposed to be riding here i pointed at the sign he's like ill call the police. bottom line he gave up.

When visiting LA a few years ago, I couldn't help noticing how bike friendly it was there... Here in Texas, even though we have the space, it sucks for cyclists. I have never seen a designated bike lane in Dallas , period.

Everything that the guy said is right. As far as the law is concerned in VA, bicycles are vehicles when operating on the road. Driving a car is a privelage, not a right. Your ability to drive a car can be taken away. I drive and ride a bike. Ive seen some crazy drivers and some pretty dumb bicyclists. Anyone who cannot handle sharing a road with a bicycle shouldnt be driving. How hard is it to steer a car- its on four wheels.

wear bright colored clothes whether you are riding in a city or outside the city. Check your equipmen! Be visible, predictible, anticipate... Keep in mind the fact that not all drivers respect traffic rules and regulation... respect rules and regulation

A helmet is not fastfood, it really saves you from head injury and a trip to hospital or worse... you seldom get hit by SUV's but most deadly cycling accidents involve brain injuries!
