  • First of all, the hand movements are signalling to his class what he is going to do... if anyone here has taken the course, you would know that you discuss what you will be doing out of the water and say how you will demonstrate each skill... kneeling on the bottom to show the skill in the pool is a standard characteristic of todays scuba classes. it is easier for the instructor to go through the class and keep en eye on them all

  • I think The instructor does well here, I have no idea what people are going on about!

  • No but if your student has air in his or her bcd and takes a deep breath so she can clear her mask after and starts floating, that does not really works as well. 10 is the age that you can start learning to dive.

  • being negatively buoyant and kneeling on the bottom are not a requirement for mask clearing and should not be part of the demonstration, unless you think your students should all go kneel on the bottom to clear their masks.

  • @chocolatejunkiexx Yes, you can do it in 2 weekends at some centres- (1 weekend of confined work and 1 of the dives in Open Water.) I spread mine out over 3 weeks and I was 13- one boy on my course was 12, so i'm sure you can do it.

  • OMG

You better take this video offline, before someone important see that rubish - be ashamed for that crap

  • WTF confusing as hell and I've staffed a few IDC's??. Stick to the paperwork and let the Staff Instructors teach.

  • Most of what you need to know is a relative definition. But indeed, you can do the PADI Open Water Diver course when you´re 12 years old. From then on you can dive ´free´ together, under supervision of an adult (father, mother).

  • I believe he was allowing his mask to fill with water.... and then was removing the water from within the mask.

According to has hand signals that's what I got out of it. Then again, I am a n00b

  • is it possible to learn most of what u need to know about PADI scuba diving by a week, even if you are 13 years old???? plz someone answer me!!
