    Being a fan of something that has been traditionally been referred to as nerdy doesn't make you a nerd. In fact, this is the same thing that happened to punk. It got hijacked by a whore generation that didn't participate, didn't understand it, reconnected to it on nostalgia only, and left pop culture to re-identify and rape it.
