AirRays™ entire system is unique. The roof of the car consists of a solar honeycomb-membrane panel which collects the suns rays when parked and when moving, and transfers that energy to the main energy storage system located in the back of the vehicle. The front hood of the car boasts three wind turbines which transfer air into wind energy and is then stored in the main battery. The remaining wind turbine is located on the trunk of the car, grasping at the airflow that surrounds the car when driving. Engineers have incorporated the vehicle with Vehicle to Grid (V2G) capabilities which will enable the user to transfer renewable power back into their home for use in their household or right back into the electrical grid to deplete their electric bills.

  • I can't see this model being efficient enough to work. Solar Power only good for charging when parked. Wind going in the car produces drag and so those turbines wouldn't move to fast due to airflow instability.

  • Excellent but with these brainwashed inbreeds it has to be prettier.

  • you know you can put several sterling engines instead of the solar panels it will work day and night and provide you with additional electicity.... watch some videos on how they work they are using them to create electricity in southern California... great concept!!!

  • Do solar flares and sunspots have any adverse effect on solar energy systems?

  • concepts like these promote thought into possiblities.... add a gas or whatever engine to the concept and at the very least consider that the wind, solar idea lowers the overall energy production of carbon fuels in the auto. physics can be bent, can it not? or are people bored of attempting the impossible. And how is it that we have cell phones again? kudos to thinkers....

  • i rated dislike and it didnt work

    so im writing this

    this sux

  • @EyesonWhat And don't tell me it creates more energy than it costs because if you understand physics at all you'll know that its simply not possible.

  • @EyesonWhat unfortunately I am taking into account permanent magnet wind turbines. A user made a comment below about perpetual motion and for the wind turbines to be of any use you would have invented just that. Wind turbines work great when they are anchored into the ground and the drag can be transferred into its structure and the ground, but in this case it would work directly against the car.

  • @lemottes unfortunately you're not taking into account permanent magnets wind turbines, they have really low friction and how bottleneck air entrance and wind drain can be optimize, further more fotovoltaic panels, permanent magnets brakes... the car works really good.. who cares to charge it at home... sometimes it could even happen!

  • unfortunately the drag created by the turbines would cost more energy than they produce.
