Tangerine Dream's soundtrack to Legend wipes the floor with Jerry Goldsmith's version, and this classic song is the best example of that.

I've seen both versions of the film the U.S. Theatrical release and the directors cut...I like both but I cannot deny that I love Tangerine Dreams score for the film a lot better...and this song is magic <3333333

@indefinicy I know just how you feel. I had the American version on VHS for years. I moved to Ireland a few years ago and bought the DVD..kept thinking there was something wrong the whole time I watched the DVD and finally realized there was a different soundtrack! The Bryan Ferry song wasn't on it, either. I felt like you..really ripped off!

This is an absolutely excellent movie . Really both versions are great .
I love the Tangerine Dream version more because of the score...and both versions
are intense .
Jerry Goldsmith just totally kicks ass with his own soundscore..it is so interesting
to hear this soundtrack after 20 years.....
God Bless You

@FaterTheBoss definitely Jon from YES

@Chricton i bought it recently on blu ray and it was the directors cut. when the end came and i was waiting for this song to play.... and it just didn't... i felt ripped off in a serious way. this song makes the movie ending so much more heartwarming amazing beautiful perfect etc.

I wish there was a version that's 98% the directors cut but had the theatrical ending. The directors cut ending is a lot weaker imo, the music just doesn't offer the same epic feeling.
Ian Anderson ooopssssssssssss
