Because I've always wanted to make my own Chip's Challenge levels... for some reason. This particular level isn't really meant to be hair-pulling hard, and I didn't want to make things too gimmicky, though I did throw in a few clever ideas (at least, to me). Played in TileWorld. No, this isn't a speedrun. I know that I could do this faster if I really wanted to. Just felt like making a video of it, is all. I may release the pack someday... if I can gather enough levels that it would be worth a release, that is.

  • And how did you make the blobs moving straight like balls ?

  • They don't move like straight balls, but if you're talking about how they only move vertical, then you'll notice that I added gravel. ;)

  • Hey, I used to have this game! Can you download it somewhere?

  • You can download Tile World for free, which is an engine/emulator for both rulesets of Chip's Challenge, but for legal reasons it does not include the original levels. I cannot help you locate them, but there are several custom level packs you can download.

  • i want the tile graphics

  • @TaiFerret There are many free level editors out there. Don't frustrate yourself too much with a hex editor =P

  • I remember hacking Chip's Challenge. I used to make my custom levels in a hex editor. The encoding of the levels is a kind of rle compression. I'm still not sure how the enemies work. If I just add them they won't move. Did you use some kind of level editor?

  • Well-designed level. Not sure I like the new interface (I'm a traditionalist, what can I say?) but the level in general was very well designed. Nicely done.

  • I love you level! Very well designed!

  • i remember this game haha

  • @joshig1983 o.O

  • I can't really help you because the tilesets aren't available anymore after the Geocities closing. Ask Tyler (geochip1) for further information. (I've never used these sets, so I know little.)

  • i have cchack, i just can't figure out how to use it... spare some knowledge?
