hi there; i really need help with my 4yr old. i would place the number card infront of him in order and ask him to show me the number 6. he would start to guess, then he would point at 9. I would ask him to count the number of shapes on the card as many times as it would take him to get it right. But still if i ask him to show me 6 he would still point to 9. Even if i say 9 can only be 9 not 6. Pls can you help me. he seems so far behind. I need him assessed. can you do that online?

I hate math. I suck at math. Matter of fact, I am dumb at math. GOD do I LHOATE math. But here I am teaching my 6 year old math and pretending I love math to save her from a life of hatred of math. Just like I am teaching her to love food I hate and know without a doubt she'll hate too.

I did not like the video, because it sounded more like a sales speech than examples of what can one do to teach MAth. If the system really works, one does not need to say so. Just give teachers several ideas, and let them watch the change. Phd is a respectful achievement of someone who went to school for a long time. But being in the real classroom time is a whole different ball game. Do not sell your idea, teach it by giving more than just two examples in a real 30 some classroom setting

Well most kids do. It's all a bunch of theoretical symbols without anything in the real universe to relate to. When I filmed this, Caroline taught that child math for a straight hour and the child was having the time of her life. It was amazing to behold.
