ficus bonsai in recovery

this tree has been in my possession for a while now. it was given to me by my grandmother who did not have the time and knowledge to take care of it. when i received it it had nothing but two branches with three liefs on it. after researching online for days i found what i needed to to do i re-poted it from a tiny pot to the one you see now compared to the old one this one is a mansion. soon after the transplant the tree started to gain life and a few more liefs appeared. and noticed that the tree was finally doing good after proper care from me and plenty of sun light its much better and fully alive roots have taken in to the new pot with new branches reaching up.
*the one thing that i would like to know is what the actual name for this tree is?
i know that its a ficus but theres many types of them and searching online really did not help so im hoping you guys can help me with that.
*another thing is what i should do with the tree in terms of its shape if you have any ideas in where the branches are placed please post a comment...
