Here is a nice survivor 1964 Yamaha YD3 250 twin. The YD3 was only the third model in Yamaha's historical 250cc twin heritage.

  • so i gues its not on my 1964 yamaha yj2 becouse it only dose 80kph

  • @elliot381 Right. None of the smaller bikes, that I know of, had them. I never experienced a speed-wobble on the small bikes I've owned.

  • whats the nob on the steering shaft?

  • @elliot381 I think what you're refering to is the steering-damper knob. By twisting the knob you tighten down a clamp on several friction discs, thereby creating a friction drag on the steering. These were pretty common on the '60's Japanese bikes. They cut down the potential for speed-wobbles (Which I've experienced on these things!) but also make the steering stiffer. You can see these on most all of the old bikes in my videos, that were capable of freeway speeds.
