VW Passat - strange noise

A couple months after replacing the timing belt, I am getting this noise. It is coming from the left side of the engine near the left cam pulley and alternator pulley.

I think maybe your misaligned conflogulator is sending irregular antimodulogitations though the retrodismanulation coil. Have you checked that?

@AlexRGravlin Nah, I'm pretty sure I've got it narrowed down to the serp. belt and/or the tensioner. So I'm just going to replace both. It's around a $70 repair. I spend money every other weekend on this car. Wish I had a Mustang. I miss my Ford... :(

@AlexRGravlin Reliable maybe for a while. Then when you have to work on a GTI engine, good luck - it's transverse most-likely. And parts are WAAAY overpriced.
