We can't all own the hardware versions of the coveted Tube-Tech compressor and equalization units emulated in the Softube Tube-Tech Classic Channel plugin, but hardware shmardware; the Classic Channel plugin sounds so smooth and legit, who needs the real deal? (Other than the modeling experts at Softube, obviously.)
The Softube Tube-Tech Classic Channel is a versatile combination of three Tube-Tech hardware emulations, and as such is applicable on just about any source or in any step of the recording process. This first video covers the Classical Channel in use a vocal channel strip.
Thank u. I used to use the actual hardware. You just convinced me to acquire the software. Miss that classic sound. Plugins seem really close.

@bedroom58 at around 2.31 he says he's singing into a CAD Equitek E100s mic, going into a UA Solo 610 Preamp, then into a Presonus Firestudio Mobile. The character of the recording will be coming more from the voice / mic / preamp combination than the interface.

what interface do you use?

The acoustic is so loud in the mix it's hard to hear the final (fixed) vocal's character.

Ugh.
The jerky image following the mouse makes it unwatchable.
