Ray Sharpe played at a little club that a lot of us traveled from Dallas to frquent named ("The Penquin") in Fort Worth in the late 50's. From time to time Ray would play at "The Townpump" a local joint in Dallas. However, none of Sharps records really showcase what a fantastic musician he was. He did a song, I believe he wrote...an instrumental called "Dallas" it was amazing and a work of a master guitarist. Sharpe also played jazz, country and top 40 pop.

Ein meinner Goths!!! Here is one of the great rhythm tracks in the ROCK idiom- t'was 1959- (year of me birth) ... Ray Sharpe grabs a holda Duane Eddy -puts him on lead guitar. The recording was produced by Lee Hazelwood can you fucking imagine? THe same man who appears at your GATE when he's STRAIGHT. Awesome, doodleous!
